Tŷ Hotel Newport, the newest addition to The Celtic Collection, a group of luxury hotels, has officially opened in conjunction with the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Annual Congress at the International Convention Centre Wales (ICC Wales). Inaugurated in early June by RCN Wales officials and local dignitaries, the 146-room hotel provides essential accommodation for congresses.

Designed to enhance the region’s event-hosting capabilities, Tŷ Hotel Newport is strategically located within a 15-minute walk of ICC Wales. This proximity makes it an ideal option for delegates attending conferences, concerts, and sports events. The hotel’s sustainable design, as Wales’s largest all-electric hotel, ensures reduced energy consumption, aligning with modern environmental standards.

The hotel boasts a glass frontage and floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a comfortable stay with amenities such as king-size beds. It also supports golf enthusiasts with shuttle services to nearby championship courses and provides access to the luxury features of the adjacent Celtic Manor Resort, including spas, health clubs, and diverse dining options.

Russell Phillips, Vice-President of Facilities and Development at The Celtic Collection, emphasized that Tŷ Hotel Newport will significantly bolster the attraction of major events to Wales by providing high-quality accommodation and contributing to the region’s overall event infrastructure. “When we opened ICC Wales, plans were already in place to build this amazing hotel and it will be a superb asset in helping us to attract more major events to Wales.”

“As well as providing high quality accommodation for conference delegates, Tŷ Hotel Newport will also be a great option for guests who are attending concerts and sports fixtures, seeking a city break in Newport or Cardiff, playing golf at Celtic Manor, or looking for a place to relax and unwind during a business trip,” Phillips said.
